ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – A major portion of All City Auto Parts located on North Clinton Avenue was declared a loss after fire spread throughout the building early Monday morning.
Firefighters responded to 1525 North Clinton Avenue around 5:30 a.m. to reports of cars on fire.
Once at the scene, they began to put out the building next to the cars which was quickly engulfed in flames. Officials declared a “three-alarm fire” due to concerns about chemicals that may have been inside the store, and were able to bring the blaze under control in about two hours.
Authorities say one of two commercial buildings associated with the auto repair shop has been deemed a total loss. No injuries were reported in this incident.
Most of Clinton Avenue was closed for a long time, but has since reopened.
Police are combing the area to determine what caused the vehicle fires.
