Man steals safe from East Northport auto repair shop: Police

EAST NORTHPORT, NY – Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are asking the public for help in locating the man who police say robbed an East Northport business in November.

A man entered Atlantis Auto Repair, 1976 Jericho Turnpike, at 1:28 a.m. on November 22 and stole a safe containing New York State inspection stickers, police said. He is wanted for burglary. The auto repair shop is located on the East Northport-Dix Hills border.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip over the phone at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app that can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by looking for P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
