An auto repair shop caught fire Friday morning in Annville Township, Lebanon County. The Ed’s Automotive Services fire on East Main Street was a tricky operation for firefighters as they basically had two different fires to deal with. One was inside the workshop, but the flames also spread to the back where four propane tanks were located. The store co-owner said the tanks were just filled last week. Firefighters had to make sure the tanks didn’t explode and keep them cool so they could put out the fire. said he didn’t seem suspicious. No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $900,000.

The fire at Ed’s Automotive Services on East Main Street was a tricky operation for firefighters as they essentially had two different fires to deal with.
One was inside the store, but the flames also spread to the back where four propane canisters were located. The store’s co-owner said the tanks were only filled last week.
Firefighters had to make sure the tanks didn’t explode and keep them cool so they could put out the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but firefighters said it did not appear suspicious.
No injuries were reported.
Damage is estimated at $900,000.
