In 2018, longtime owners Tim and Mike Buff retired from their 40-year-plus career in the tire business started by Mike and Tim’s father. They sold the Buff’s Tire & Service business to Gregg McCabe and his family. Gregg McCabe has over 15 years of experience in the tire industry and brings with him a range of experience, knowledge and professionalism. Gregg said that maintaining the Buff’s Tire & Service name is very important to both parties and that is why the name still stands. The company now operates from a new location at 1211 Burkemont Ave. in Morganton, North Carolina, next to Rural King, the former Express Lubricant. Gregg and his team are committed to ensuring that their primary goal is to provide the best customer experience when servicing your vehicle and purchasing tires for your car, truck, van or SUV.
